Lincoln Police were called by a 44-year-old woman on March 27th saying she had been sexually assaulted at a south Lincoln spa last month. “The victim reported the masseur, identified as 40-year-old Laveal Jones of Lincoln, assaulted her while performing his duties as a licensed massage therapist,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
Thomas says during the investigation the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab confirmed DNA from the suspect was found on the victim and her clothing. Jones turned himself in to the Lancaster County Jail on Monday and was booked for 1st degree sexual assault.
“The investigation is ongoing and the Lincoln Police Department is encouraging anyone with information related to this arrest to come forward,” Thomas says.
