By Chase Porter May 6, 2025 | 11:42 AM

Lincoln voters are taking to the polls today, Tuesday – May 6, for 2025 City General Elections.

Residents can check their polling location at votercheck.necvr.ne.gov or call the election office at (402) 441-7311. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On the ballot, voters will be asked to elect new (or returning) leadership to the Lincoln City Council, the Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education, and the Lincoln Airport Authority.

In addition, voters will decide on a ballot initiative that would make it illegal for landlords to deny someone housing simply because of how they pay rent — whether through housing vouchers, disability or veterans benefits, Social Security, tips, or cash from informal work.

The names of those candidates, their party affiliations, and occupations are listed below. (*incumbent) For more details on these races, visit voterguide.flatwaterfreepress.org.
