Lincoln Police are investigating a pair of thefts from the same north Lincoln property on May 10. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says a 28-year-old Lincoln man reported to police that items had been stolen from his vehicle that was parked outside his residence in the area of N. 7th Street and Fletcher Avenue.
“He told police he was last in the vehicle on May 6 around 10 p.m. when he got home from work,” Thomas says. “A loaded handgun had been stolen, along with a carbon fiber holster and multiple 9mm rounds.”
Thomas says his wallet was also taken from the car with ID, credit and debit cards. Police say a 49-year-old Wahoo woman reported a larceny at the same address, occurring sometime on May 9, where an unknown individual entered unlocked standalone shops on the north end of the property and took several items.
“Multiple construction and power tools were missing, with a total loss estimated at more than $2,300,” Thomas says. Both investigations are still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
