Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate cases. One involves an aggressive shoplifting at a gas station, and the other involves a series of stolen comforters from a store in a Lincoln shopping mall.
The first case occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2025, at the U-Stop on 33rd and Cornhusker Highway.
Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says an individual went into the store and was verbally aggressive with another customer, smacked that customers drink out of their hand, and stole a bottle of orange juice before leaving.
The suspect had numerous tattoos that police believe could help get him identified, including large pieces on his arms, neck, chest, and back.
Security photos are available below.
The second case concerns the JCPenney’s at Lincoln’s Gateway Mall on 61st and “O” Street.
Keller says the store has reported a problem with individuals coming into the store, grabbing comforters from the shelves, and walking out without paying for them.
Lincoln Police have shared photos of 6 women that have been seen in the store on various occasions in the past few months. Investigators are uncertain if the cases are related, but are hoping to receive some tips from the community to learn more.
Photos are available below.
