Lincoln Police say a 26-year-old woman called 911 around 9:00 Thursday night to report someone had started a fire outside her home near 20th and ‘J’ Streets. “The 26-year-old female victim reported an unknown person started a fire inside the bedroom window well,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
“She told officers she only saw the back of the suspect before they left, then witnessed flames and quickly ran outside a cup of water to put out the fire.”
Thomas says the officer found burnt electrical wire and what appeared to be burnt animal feces. The investigation is ongoing.
