If you’re looking for a job the American Job Center will be holding an outdoor career fair on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon in downtown Lincoln. The Rooftop Career Fair will be on the sixth floor of the parking garage above the American Job Center near 13th and ‘N’ Street.
“We’re proud to bring back the Rooftop Career Fair to connect job seekers with great employers in a unique and accessible setting,” says Dylan Wren, AJC Workforce Administrator. “It’s a chance to take the next step in your career.”
Local employers attending the event include the State of Nebraska, NEBCO, Lincoln Electric System, Total Manufacturing Company, Firespring, and many more. Attendees can park for free in the Park & Go garage at 14th and “N” streets and use the elevator. To receive one hour of free parking, attendees must enter their license plate number into one of the kiosks in the parking garage.
The American Job Center includes conference and interview rooms that allow clients to meet potential employers and career planners. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, such as free Wi-Fi, webcams, televisions and iPads. The rooms allow clients to interview for potential jobs in person or virtually.
