Residents are invited to a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, May 21, regarding a street improvement project that will invest in repairs to Nebraska Parkway from 48th to 56th streets.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) will be hosting the online presentation, starting at 5:30 p.m. Visit lincoln.ne.gov/NEParkway for the meeting link and more information.
Project officials will share details on the project, including the full reconstruction of the existing surface with new concrete pavement, base repairs, curb and gutter, median surfacing, and the possibility of minor bridge repairs.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the project team questions and receive an overview of the project, as well as information on the planned improvements, project phasing and the construction schedule.
A Zoom link will be available up to 15 minutes before and during the meeting. For those unable to attend the meeting, a recording of the presentation will be available on the website Thursday, May 22.
Construction is expected to begin in late May or early June and be completed in late fall 2025.
