Thursday marks the end of a month-long donation campaign for hundreds of local non-profits. Tracy Edgerton is President of the Lincoln Community Foundation and says ‘Give To Lincoln Day’ has raised more than $65 million in the previous 13 years, including a record $8.5 million last year.

“More than 25,000 donations were part of that $8.5 million that was raised and this year we’re upping the ante, we have a record 502 non-profits that are participating.”  Edgerton says each nonprofit will also get a portion of a $650,000 match fund made possible by the Lincoln Community Foundation and presenting sponsor West Gate Bank.

Edgerton encourages everyone to pick their favorite non-profits and donate of any amount at givetolincoln.com.

The deadline to donate is midnight Thursday. “This is really a time for the entire community to come together and support the critical work of our local non-profits that do so much to uplift Lincoln and make it a great place for everyone to live, work and play.”
