With the eastbound lanes of Pine Lake Road between South 27th and South 29th streets now open, the westbound inside lane is now closed from South 27th to South 20th streets.
The announcement from Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) on Friday follows the completion of the first phase of a Lincoln on the Move street improvement project that involved concrete repair and replacement. This portion of the project was the only part of the project that required a full closure.
The westbound lane closure is scheduled to end in early July. Work also continues on the eastbound lanes of Pine Lake Road between South 14th and South 20th streets, with traffic traveling head-to-head. LTU expects to complete this section by early July also.
Crews will complete the remaining improvements along Pine Lake Road under lane closures or head-to-head traffic. There may also be temporary intersection closures as needed for repairs.
