Nebraska’s path to the 2026 Women’s College World Series was laid out Tuesday as Husker Softball announced its 2026 schedule. The home schedule is highlighted by UCLA’s first-ever visit to Lincoln March 27-29, and Michigan’s visit to open Big Ten play on March 13-15.
The Huskers start their 51st season of softball on Feb. 6 at the UTSA Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. After that, Nebraska heads to two of the most prestigious national non-conference events on the softball schedule, as the Huskers head first to Clearwater, Fla., for the ESPN Clearwater Invitational, then to Cathedral City, Calif., for the Mary Nutter Classic.
Nebraska opens its home schedule March 6 with a home tournament, before hosting the Wolverines to begin conference play. After a trip to East Lansing to take on Michigan State, Nebraska will host UCLA to end March. The conference homestand continues against Rutgers the first weekend of April. After back-to-back weekend trips to Wisconsin and Minnesota, the Huskers head home to face Iowa April 24-26, before concluding the regular season at Penn State the first weekend of May.
Nebraska looks to improve on this year’s 43-15 finish and NCAA Super Regionals finish. The Huskers return seven of nine starters in the lineup and the top three pitchers, including NFCA Player of the Year Jordy Bahl.
