At the end of the month, Lincoln StarTran Route 46 bus services will shift from some residential streets in the Arnold Heights neighborhood to the Air Park area.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities says the changes were approved by the StarTran Advisory Board at its May meeting and will take effect Monday, June 30.

Carla Cosier, Assistant Director of Transit for the city, says these changes were designed to address an increased need for service in the area.

“This route change will offer more transit options to important destinations and growing developments in the Air Park area,” Cosier said.

StarTran will continue to serve Northwest 50th Street to maintain access in areas with limited pedestrian connections to arterial bus routes. StarTran will discontinue all other neighborhood bus service within Arnold Heights.
