Lincoln Police have released new details in a shooting that injured two teenagers at 11th and Hill Streets on June 13.  When officers arrived on the scene around 5:30 a.m. found a 14-year-old boy in the street with gunshot wounds to his buttocks and lower left leg.

A 15-year-old male was taken by private vehicle to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.  “Investigators determined the 14-year-old was at a residence visiting a female,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas .  “As he was leaving, a 15-year-old friend of the female’s brother came out with a ski mask on and pointed a gun at the 14-year-old, telling him
to give him everything.”

She says the 14-year-old then shot the 15-year-old twice and the 15-year-old shot the 14-year-old three times.  “Investigators also learned the 15-year-old boy asked to use another 15-year-old’s
gun for the robbery, which he gave the other teen.”

Both guns were found in the grass outside the home and Thomas says they had been stolen.  The 14-year-old boy and the uninjured 15-year-old were arrested on June 18.  The 14-year-old was referred and turned over to Juvenile Probation for possess stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a handgun.

The 15-year-old was referred and booked into the Youth Services Center for robbery, possess  of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a handgun. The other 15-year-old boy will be arrested after he is released from the hospital, which is expected to be sometime this week.
