Nebraska pitcher Mason McConnaughey was drafted by Texas in the fourth round of the MLB Draft with the 115th overall pick.
McConnaughey was second-team All-Big Ten as a sophomore in 2024, when he went 9-3 with a 3.45 ERA in 17 appearances, including 11 starts. He had 73 innings with 91 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .239 batting average.
McConnaughey was a preseason All-American in 2025, but made just three starts before going down with an injury.
