Lincoln Police says three people were injured in a one car crash around 2:15 Sunday morning near 13th and Van Dorn. “A red 2013 Mazda 6 sedan was found wrapped around a light pole with severe damage,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
“The preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was speeding south on 13th before crashing.” Thomas says the 32-year-old driver and two passengers, a 30-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman had to be extricated from the car.
Thomas says the driver suffered life-threatening injuries. The two passengers were also hospitalized and will survive. She says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
