A water emergency has been declared for the community of Bennet Lancaster Rural Water. In a Facebook statement officials say they were notified Wednesday morning that they had a pumping station go down.
“They informed us to not allow lawn sprinklers or unnecessary watering of any kind,” the statement said. Please take this warning seriously. Our water tower could be drained and then no one in the city will have water.”
The City says everyone needs to restrict water use as much as possible until the problem is resolved. The splash pad will be turned off until further notice.
