Pius X High School has named Jennifer Tran as its new principal, bringing a decade of experience in Catholic education and school leadership to the role.
Tran previously served as principal at Blessed Sacrament School in Lincoln for four years and has also worked as assistant principal at St. Peter’s and as an English teacher at both Sacred Heart and Pius X.
“I love every part of education,” Tran said. “I love being a student, a teacher, a mentor, and an administrator. I have a great love for the Catholic community.”
Tran, a Columbus native and graduate of the University of Nebraska, said she is excited to return to high school education, where “older students understand the weight of what you’re saying.”
Her appointment marks a return to Pius X, where she began her high school teaching career before stepping into administrative roles. Tran said her leadership style is rooted in faith, listening, and a commitment to student individuality.
“It’s our faith that makes us stand out,” she said. “That’s at the forefront of everything we do.”
