The Lincoln Airport will be making a special announcement Tuesday, following a morning board meeting potentially regarding a new air service agreement.
LNK Spokesperson Rachel Barth tells KLIN News the Lincoln Airport Authority Board will meet at 9 a.m. to vote on the proposed agreement. Afterwards, airport leaders will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. on the first floor of the terminal to discuss air service developments.
Currently, the Lincoln’s Airport only offers flights to Denver and Chicago through United Airlines.
Tuesday’s announcement comes roughly a year after LNK’s Red Way fiasco was laid to rest—the short-lived airline promising cheap flights to popular destinations shut down after just three months of service in 2023.
