Heat indices of 100 to 110 degrees are expected area-wide this afternoon.
Widespread storms are expected late Tuesday afternoon into the evening (60-90% chance). There is a 15-30% chance of severe storms, with damaging winds and localized flooding the primary threats.
Much cooler conditions will be in place Wednesday through Saturday with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s
