A Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputy collided with another vehicle while turning through a northwest Lincoln intersection Sunday morning.
According to Lincoln Police Public Information Manager Erika Thomas, the 49-year-old deputy was driving a 2021 Ford Explorer LSO cruiser northbound on NW 48th Street just after 10:15 a.m. when he turned west onto W. Adams Street, not seeing a 1999 Honda Civic heading south. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
The 67-year-old woman driving the Civic was not taken to the hospital at the scene but later sought medical attention for minor back pain. No citations were issued.
