Lincoln Police arrested a man and woman for their roles in a large fight that broke out near 13th and ‘E’ Street around 6:00 Friday evening. Captain Todd Kocian says officers were called there on a report of 15 people fighting.
“Initial dispatch information was that a male was bleeding from the head and a a female was carrying a broom.” Kocian says When officers arrived, 27-year-old Leandra Wells was holding a metal tube and 33-year-old Chance Cave with an injury to his scalp and bleeding.”
He says witnesses reported seeing Cave kick another individual and Wells hitting Cave with the metal tube. Cave was taken to the hospital for his injuries, then arrested an booked into the Lancaster County Jail for third-degree assault.
Wells was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail and booked for second-degree assault.
