Lincoln Police say two 19-year-old men turned themselves in Monday morning in connection with an assault outside the Das Haus bar near 16th and ‘O Street on August 15. Witnesses told
police there was a verbal argument between several individuals.
“Surveillance video shows a man then pick up the victim and throw him to the ground and another man punch him after he lands on the ground,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
The 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious head injuries. Thomas says based on the severity of the injuries confirmed by medical records, the incident was reclassified as an aggravated assault on Friday.
Investigators were able to identify the suspects as 19-year-old Kyson Bellamy and 19-year-old Xavier Lynch. On Monday, the two men turned themselves in at the Lancaster County Jail and were booked for first-degree assault.
