As kickoff of the 2025 season draws closer for the Nebraska football team, the Blackshirts, signifying the first defensive unit, were handed out for the first time Monday.
10 Huskers received the coveted practice jerseys. Defensive linemen Cameron Lenhardt and Elijah Jeudy, linebackers Javin Wright, Dasan McCullough and Marques Watson-Trent, and defensive backs Ceyair Wright, Marques Buford, Jr., Malcolm Hartzog, Jr., DeShon Singleton and Andrew Marshall now wear the black shirts to practice.
The season kicks off Thursday at 8 p.m. in Kansas City against Cincinnati. Pregame coverage begins at 4 p.m. on KLIN and Froggy 98.
