An 18 year old Lincoln man is charged with manslaughter after a shooting early on the 4th of July.
Lincoln Police were called to the 2700 block of South 40th Street around 12:34 p.m. after receiving a call that shots had been fired. Inside the home, officers found 20 year old Gavin Hall of Lincoln dead at the scene.
Investigators interviewed those inside the home and learned that there was a small gathering of six people. Hall and his roommate Zachariah Serna were “bantering” when Serna got up, went into a bedroom and retrieved a shotgun. Serna walked toward Hall and fired one shot hitting Hall in the Head. Crime scene Technicians collected evidence from the scene. An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, July 6th and it confirmed that Hall died from a gunshot wound to the head.
