Lincoln Children's Museum Reopening Thursday

By News Jul 6, 2020 | 3:16 PM
After closing the doors on March 13th due to COVID-19, the Lincoln Children’s Museum is anxious to get the fun started again.
Spokesperson Aftan Reinsch tells KLIN News they plan to reopen on Thursday.
Reinsch says they submitted one of the largest plans among local entertainment establishments that the health department has seen so far.  This includes all health and safety requirements to assist families with appropriate child development and fun.  The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department did a walk-through of the museum to check the health, safety, and cleaning details of the plan in place. Reinsch says they will be cleaning the area throughout the day with a deep cleaning at night.  All those five and older will be required to wear masks and temperatures will be taken before entry allowed.
The Lincoln Children’s Museum recently conducted a public survey wanting insight and feedback about reopening.  About half of those responding stated they were comfortable with the museum’s plan.  With that, the Museum is confident and excited once again to welcome back guests.
The reopening is set for Thursday, July 9th at  8 a.m.  Hours will be Thursday through Sunday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. with reserved timed ticketing.  Tickets are also available for members and will go on sale to the general public on July 7th.  Masks and health waivers are required.
