On Saturday, August 22nd at 4 am, Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to the report of a fire by LPD at 6955 McCormick Dr. The business is called Bestorq Inc. which is a wholesale auto parts company.
The call was initially dispatched as a burglary alarm. LPD arrived and observed smoke from the building and called for LFR. Lincoln Fire & Rescue arrived at this large manufacturing facility and located the fire deep inside the building inside a wood cabinet. The sprinkler above the cabinet was activated and kept the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue finished extinguishing the fire. Inspector Gross reports the cause of the fire was a motor inside the cabinet.
