The court process for misdemeanor warrants were put on hold last March due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Lancaster County is now holding an Amnesty Day and Night Court for certain warrants that were suspended.
Only non-custody matters will be heard during these special sessions. All misdemeanor warrants, with the exception of “hold for Court” warrants will be eligible tor recall and to have their cases reset. The sessions will be held on September 3rd at 9:30, 10:30, 1:30 and 3 p.m. with night court to follow between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m on September 3rd. On September 24th, the hours are from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
This is in conjunction with the Lancaster County Courts, the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office, the Lincoln City Attorney’s Office, the Lancaster County Public Defender’s office, the Lincoln Police Department and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
