104 COVID-19 Cases Thursday In Lancaster County

There are 104 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lancaster County Thursday.  That number includes cases that were delayed due to technical difficulties with the Department of Health and Human Services reporting system.   The community total now stands at 4.804 with the number of deaths at 21.

Recoveries are up from 2,023 to 2,025.  The Lancaster County positivity rate is up from 7.4% to 7.5%.  The state rate remains at 9.5%.

 There are 27 people hospitalized with 10 from Lancaster County and 17 from other communities.

The COVID-19 Risk Dial is at “Orange,” indicating a high risk of the virus spreading.  Residents are advised to follow these recommendations to protect themselves and others:

  • Limit activities outside the home, unless for work, school, medical care, or food.
  • Work from home when possible.
  • Stay at least six feet from anyone outside the home.
  • Face masks should be worn by those over two years old when indoors and when unable to physical distance.
  • Avoid large gatherings.
  • Attend small gatherings and events only with modifications such as physical distancing, face masks, etc.
  • Follow CDC Travel Guidelines available at cdc.gov.
