Over 95% of housing units have been accounted for in the 2020 Census as of September 22, with 29.6% counted by census takers and other field data collection operations, and 66.2% of housing units responding online, by phone or by mail.
Every day, the U.S. Census Bureau releases the 2020 Census housing unit completion rate for the nation, all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. In addition, the Census Bureau releases the completion rates for the Nonresponse Follow-up operation by area census office.
The Census Bureau is committed to a complete and accurate count and urges every household to respond when a census visits or to respond on their own by using their census ID online, by phone or by mail.

As of September 22nd, Nebraska’s self-response rate was at 71.40% with 56.60% of respondents using the internet. The Lincoln total self-response rate is 77.30% with 68.50% using the internet. Omaha’s rate is 72.20%.
Sarpy County continues to lead the way in Nebraska with 79.50 percent, with 72.10 percent of responders using the Internet. Douglas County total self-response rate is 73.10 percent, with 62.50 using the internet. Lancaster County total self-response rate is 77.70 percent, with 68.90 using the internet
