A Lincoln Police Public Service Officer saw a red Jeep Compass stopped in traffic near 56th and A Street around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 28th. the officer checked on the vehicle and saw three people were inside and passed out.
The officer then called police to the scene to assist and were able to wake up those inside. As the front seat passenger was removed from the vehicle, the officer saw a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine on the seat. The officer then saw it was actually 26 individually packaged pieces of methamphetamine with a total weight of 8.1 grams with a street value of approximately $800.
The driver was evaluated for impairment and was found to not be impaired. The front seat passenger, Ray Gordon Jr., 31 year old, was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver. The driver and the other passenger were allowed to leave.
