On November 3rd just before 8pm, police were called to the 1900 block of SW 27th Street on a suspicious person. The caller reported seeing a man walking the area and looking into vehicles. As officers were arriving, they were advised that the caller believed he was going to start breaking a car’s windows.
Officers located a man matching the description provided by the caller and contacted him. The officer observed the man to have a bandana wrapped around his hand with a bulge underneath. When the officer examined the bandana, iron knuckles were found wrapped with it. Officers identified the man as 33 year old Joshua Gier, who was found to have prior felony convictions prohibiting him from possessing iron knuckles.
Gier was arrested for Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
