Police Determine Stabbing And Drug Dealing Operation Connected

Police believe narcotics was behind a stabbing on November 1st at 20th and Worthington Avenue.  Around 1 a.m., a 31 year old man was severely injured in front of his apartment door and taken to a hospital.

During the course of the investigation, police suspected that narcotics may have been a factor in the assault.  They obtained a search warrant and inside the residence they found. 8.7 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $80, 67 alprazolam pills, 24 clonazepam pills, and 1.2 grams a marijuana.  Investigators also located packaging supplies and other drug paraphernalia consistent with drug sales.

At that time the man, Colin McHenry, 32 years old, was admitted to the hospital for the treatment of his injuries.  On November 5th around 4 p.m. he was discharged from the hospital and taken into custody reference the drug investigation.  He was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver hazardous drugs  and Possession with Intent to Deliver.
