DiGiorno Frozen Pizza Recalled Due To Misbranding And Undeclared Allergens

By Tom Stanton Sep 27, 2021 | 1:15 PM

Nestlé USA, Inc. is recalling a limited amount of DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust Pepperoni Pizza due to potential mislabeling and undeclared soy, a known allergen. The affected pizzas are labeled as DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust Pepperoni Pizza but in fact are DiGiorno Three Meat Crispy Pan Crust Pizza, which contain soy in the beef topping and sausage crumbles. People who are allergic to soy could have an allergic reaction and should not consume the product.

The following product is subject to recall:

26 oz. boxes, containing pizza in a tray with a plastic overwrap, labeled, “DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust Pepperoni Pizza” with a manufacturing date of June 30, 2021, “best by” date of March 2022 and batch code 1181510721. The “best by” date of March 2022 and batch code appear on the side of the package.

A limited quantity of the product with mismatched packaging was distributed to retailers in the U.S. only. The product being recalled was produced on June 30, 2021. No other production dates of DiGiorno Crispy Pan Crust Pepperoni Pizza, and no other DiGiorno products are impacted by this recall.
