On November 8th just after 4 a.m., police responded along with Lincoln Fire and Rescue to a fire in the 3000 block of Vine Street. A neighbor called to report they woke up to find their neighbors detached shed on fire.
An inspector determined that the cause of the fire was arson. Investigators canvassed the area, processed the scene for evidence, and are requesting video from neighbors.
At this time, damage is estimated at approximately $2,000 to the shed, $5,000 to a 2010 black Kia Optima parked near it, and $200 to a privacy fence belonging to a neighbor.
