Five COVID-19 Deaths In Lancaster County Tuesday, 203 New Cases

There are five COVID-19 deaths in Lancaster County Tuesday bringing the total number to 103.  Four individuals, two women in their 90’s a woman in her 80’s and a man in his 70’s were in a long term care facility.  A woman in her 70’s had been hospitalized.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reports 203 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lancaster County today, bringing the community total to 19,203.  Recoveries are  up from 5,492 to 5,536.  The positivity rate from December 6th through the 8th is at 28.4%.

There are 133 people hospitalized with 83 from Lancaster County and 51 from other communities.  Fourteen patients are on ventilators.

 Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, repeated shaking with chills, repeated muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.  If you have symptoms, please get tested.  Testing is now open to all Lancaster County residents by appointment only.
