Lincoln Police were called to 17th an d# around 2 a.m. Wednesday for a disturbance. Officers arrived to shouting coming from a basement apartment. They contacted one resident, 40 year old Jared Faison who answered the door holding scissors. Officers ordered him to drop them and he put them on the ground but then tried to push pas the officers and run from the scene.
As officers were struggling with Faison, a woman identified as 22 year old Ayok Arou walked out of the same apartment and started yanking on the officers backs to pull them away from Faison.
Officers took Faison and Arou in handcuffs but then Faisen tried to run from officers. He was soon stopped. Officers found 2 grams of meth and 22.5 grams of marijuana in Faison’s pockets.
Officers cited and lodged Faison for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Marijuana. Officers cited Ayok for Hindering/Delay/Interrupting an Arrest and placed her in protective custody for her elevated level of intoxication.
