Six Teens Are Suspects In Gun Thefts From Game & Parks Vehicle

On Wednesday, November 25th, Lincoln Police were called to the 100 block of West Lombard Drive to investigate a theft from a vehicle.  Officers spoke with a Game and Parks employee who said he left his work pickup parked in his driveway locked.  The nest morning he discovered his vehicle had been broken into and a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle, a Remington 12 gauge shotgun, and a Remington .22 rifle were missing.  The (total loss is estimated at: $2,160.  These firearms had been properly secured in a locked rack that was mounted to the interior of the vehicle.  The suspects had broken into the vehicle and ripped out the mounts.

LPD officers processed the scene for forensic and digital evidence.  Based on fingerprints found at the scene, officers located and interviewed several suspects on Friday, December 4, at approximately 3:49 p.m.  Based on  evidence and information gleaned from interviews, investigators cited the following individuals for Theft by Unlawful Taking, felony charges – 17 year old Dylan Collins, 16 year old Preston Pimentel, 16 year old, Dominick Shaw, and 15 year old Nephtali Blazio.

On Saturday, December 5,at approximately 7:07 p.m. investigators cited and lodged 19 year old Leul Howell for three counts of felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm as a result of his involvement in moving and storing the stolen firearms.

On Thursday, December 10  at approximately 10:43 p.m., investigators cited and lodged 18 year old Anthony Cates for three counts of felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm  as a result of his involvement in moving and storing the stolen firearms.
