Lancaster County Deputies were called to a home at NW 98th Street and Pawnee Lake State Recreation Road around 7:30 p.m. Monday to investigate a burglary. The homeowners noticed a vehicle stuck in their driveway and went out to help. That is when they saw a number of items they owned inside the vehicle. The items had been stored inside a shed on their property and included a motorcycle helmet, wire and a fishing tackle box.
A neighbor told the homeowners that the driver of the 2004 Dodge Durango had gone to his house and asked for help getting out.
Deputies booked 25 year old Alexander Janeke for theft and for receiving stolen property. It was also determined the Dodge Durango had been reported stolen out of Lincoln.
The investigation continues.
