Just before midnight on January 30th, police were called to the 3000 block of Vine Street on a report of someone with a gunshot wound. Officers arrived and located a 66-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. They administered first aid to the victim until Lincoln Fire and Rescue arrived. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
The victim reported being shot after an argument with a known person who had left the area prior to officer’s arrival. Officers processed the scene for evidence, canvassed the area, and are requesting video evidence from neighbors.
