Get Ready With Me, also known as GRWM, has become a popular trend lately where influencers will video themselves performing their morning routine and posting it on the internet. Recently, a GRWM video has started trending due to some of the outlandish methods.
Ashton Hall, a former college football player and fitness influencer, posted a morning routine video in February that has gained over 90 million views on TikTok. The video starts off with a timestamp around 3am and documents his morning routine up until 9 am. Throughout the video, Hall performs various odd morning behaviors such as removing tape from his mouth, dipping his face in spring water and rubbing his face with a banana peel.
The video has drawn criticism for being staged and over the top. Ashton has posted numerous videos since then portraying similar morning habits. Many viewers have since discredited him as a fitness influencer due to the inauthenticity of his videos. Viewers have also been making fun of the post by posting photos of the water and bananas featured in the video, claiming they are about to be very successful because of it.
Interestingly, the video has promoted the sales of the water company seen in the videos. Saratoga waters has seen a 1,000% increase in google searches since the initial post went viral.
