Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate cases. One involves a hit-and-run case in Northeast Lincoln, and the other involves a pair of burglars who raided an apartment building mail room.
The first case occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in the area of N. 65th and Holdrege Street.
Video Forensics Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says a maroon Chevy Silverado struck the passenger side of a vehicle attempting to make a turn at the area intersection.
The pickup immediately left without exchanging info with the other driver. Keller says the suspect vehicle had “a lot of unique characteristics,” including a missing handle on the tailgate, a dent on the top of the tailgate, a multi-hitch ball, an aftermarket exhaust pipe, and a black tool box in the bed of the truck.
Photos of the vehicle are available below.
The second case occurred on Friday, March 21, 2025, at an apartment complex near 14th and Old Cheney Road.
Keller says an individual in red was captured on camera inside the clubhouse and was seen taking packages from the mail room. On Saturday, March 29th, he returned and brought a masked friend with him.
The suspect in red forced the office door open. Once in the office they took a printer, camera, an envelope containing rent money, and more packages from the mail room.
Photo and video from the incident are available below.
