A meet-up over a pair of shoes turns into an assault and robbery.
Lincoln Police Officer Erin Spilker said a 16-year-old boy contacted officers Wednesday afternoon after he reported being attacked at a residence in the 6100 Franciscan Dr. after meeting a person who expressed interest in shoes he was selling over Snapchat.
The victim said when he arrived at the location a man got into his back seat to inspect the shoes. Soon after, another teenage male walked up to the window, hit the victim several times in the mouth and told him to empty his pockets.
At the same time, the man in the back seat pulled out a knife.
Both of the suspects left the area on foot after taking the shoes the victim intended to sell as well as his AirPod headphones.
The shoes are described as Jordan Retro High Tops Off-White Chicago and are valued at around $200.
