Lincoln’s Farmers’ Market is set to return for it’s 40th season this Saturday, hosted in Downtown’s Historic Haymarket District at 7th and “P” Street.

Vendors will open up shop from 8:00 a.m. to, rain or shine, through October 11. Live musical performances will be hosted in Iron Horse Park, 7th & “Q” Streets, and typically draw crowds from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Shoppers may browse and reserve items beforehand, but no purchases can be made before the official 8 a.m. whistle.

Market fare includes everything from muffins and kolaches to pulled pork, tacos, wine, homemade root beer, and kettle corn. Local growers will be offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, cheeses, and more—many organically grown. Handmade goods like jewelry, home décor, candles, soaps, pet products, and wood or iron artwork will also be available.

Attendees are reminded that pets, weapons, promotional materials, and balloons are prohibited
