
The City of Lincoln is inviting residents to celebrate National Bike Month this May by exploring the city’s trail system and participating in a series of bike-friendly events.
Tour de Lincoln (Thursdays at 6 p.m., starting at Jayne Snyder Trails Center):
- May 1 – Northwest Tour (12 miles)
- May 8 – Northeast Tour (18 miles)
- May 15 – Southwest Tour (16 miles)
- May 22 – Southeast Tour (15 miles)

Bike to Work Day (Friday, May 16, from 7–9 a.m.)
Five trail-side breakfast burrito stations will offer snacks, drinks, and transportation info. Burritos must be pre-ordered by May 11 at lincoln.ne.gov/biketowork.
Locations include: Bethany Park, Holmes Lake Park, Rock Island Trailhead, Lincoln Northwest High School, and Elliott Elementary.
Trail Trek (Sunday, June 22)
This family-friendly ride starts at Lincoln East High School and offers six route options (9 to 48 miles). Registration includes a shirt, lunch, and on-trail snacks. Details: gptn.org
