Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen announced Friday that he will seek a third term in 2026, launching his re-election campaign from the Capitol rotunda with support from several top Republican officials.
Evnen, who has served as the state’s chief elections officer since 2019, said he’s running to continue advancing what he called “conservative values and the Nebraska way of life.” He highlighted work on election security, trade, public safety, and business services as key accomplishments of his tenure.
“I am proudly pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, pro-family, and pro-Nebraska,” Evnen said. “We continue to ensure the security and accuracy of our elections. We’ve expanded international trade and cut red tape for Nebraska business filers.”
The announcement was attended by U.S. Senator Deb Fischer, Lt. Governor Joe Kelly, Speaker of the Legislature John Arch, and several state senators, who praised Evnen’s leadership and national recognition for election integrity efforts.
Evnen said he would be announcing his campaign endorsements in the coming weeks.
