Lincoln Police were called to U-Stop at 21st and K around 2 a.m. Wednesday to check on a person who was apparently passed out in the bathroom.
Officers found the man laying on the bathroom floor and when the woke him up it was apparent he was under the influence of alcohol. Due to the high intoxication level officers determined he needed to be taken to The Bridge as he was unable to care for himself.
During a search, officers found a pipe with suspected meth residue and a 9.5 inch machete hanging around the man’s neck under his clothing.
38 year old Dennis Nyagesuka had previous convictions prohibiting him for possessing a deadly weapon. Nyagesuka was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Deadly Weapon, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
