Extreme heat will impact the Lincoln area all weekend and the City will be set up and hours will be extended to give people in need a place to go. The Anderson Branch, Bennett Martin Library and F Street Community Center will be open until 8:00 p.m. each day.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation Centers are also available as cooling centers during business hours. Matt Talbott Kitchen and Outreach will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 to 6:30 on Sunday to give people a cool place to stay.
They will have food, plenty of water and a variety of activities.
