Wednesday marks one year since Jerica Hamre of Lincoln was last seen and the search for her continues. “LPD investigators are asking for any leads that could help find her,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
“No matter how small you think the detail may be, please reach out so our Criminal Investigations Unit can follow up.” Hamre was last seen at her home near 35th and Huntington Ave. on June 25, 2024.
Thomas says she was reported missing to LPD the following week by out-of-town family members who were scheduled to meet up with her that day. “Investigators believe Jerica disappeared under suspicious circumstances and have continued working diligently to locate her.”
Last October LPD and other agencies spent two days searching a property in Overton, Nebraska, but Thomas says that search did not uncover anything of evidentiary value. “Evidence suggests Jerica could have last been in the vicinity of Arapahoe, Holdrege, Overton and Lexington, Nebraska, along with the surrounding rural areas.”
Hamre is now 31 years old and 5’1” tall. At the time she was reported missing, she weighed 245 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and glasses. LPD says her appearance may have changed in the last year. Thomas says if you have any details on her disappearance, no matter how small, call LPD at 402-441-6000.
