Lincoln Police are investigating after a man was shot around early Sunday morning in north Lincoln. According to LPD officers responded to an area hospital on report of a shooting around 2:30. A 38-year-old Lincoln man reported he was leaving a business in the area of N 27th and Theresa Street when he heard a series of gunshots.
Police say as he was running away he fell down and realized he had been shot in the leg. LPD says someone drove the man to hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The search for the shooter continues and anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
