Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects in two separate cases. One involving a hit & run in the parking lot of a local grocery store, and the other involving an assault at a local bowling alley.
The first case occurred around 11:15 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Russ’s Market on 17th and Washington Street.
LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller says a truck in the parking lot struck another car while backing up and then drove off. The truck is described as an older GMC Sierra or similar work truck, which investigators say had a unique bed rack on the back possibly for ladders or other work equipment. The truck also had a tool box inside the truck bed.
The driver of that truck was in the store prior to the accident. He is described as a younger male with unique tattoos on the left side of his neck and his left calf.
Photo and video of the suspect and his vehicle are available below.
The second case occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the Round 1 arcade at Gateway Mall.
Keller says multiple staff members approached officers when they arrived and said there was a group of individuals in the pool room who were asked numerous times by employees and security to quiet down.
The group eventually left, but when the security guard went outside to ensure the group was leaving, he reported hearing someone say “on three” before he was pulled out of his car and punched and kicked multiple times by the group.
Two other employees saw this and attempted to help the victim, at which time they were also assaulted. One of the employees had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for multiple lacerations to his face, a possible fractured nose, swollen eye socket, and two lumps on the back of his head from being hit against the concrete.
Video and pictures of the suspects are available below.
