Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) announced Thursday that South 48th Street between Sumner and South streets has closed for water main repairs.
Water main and street repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, July 18. The recommended detour is “A” Street to 56th Street to South Street. Access to homes in the area will be maintained via South Street.
StarTran Route 53-SouthPointe will be detoured during this work.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure. Current information on street closures is available at lincoln.ne.gov/closures.
